Algoa FM is inviting businesses of all sizes to join in supporting cancer charities across the region by participating in the Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer, presented by ISUZU MOTORS South Africa.
With group and bulk entry options, it’s easier than ever for businesses and large organizations to get involved in the five-kilometre walk, taking place on Saturday, 26 October. Whether your team is in George, Gqeberha, East London, or working remotely, there are plenty of ways to participate, including virtual walks and fun social media engagement with #AlgoaFMBigWalk.
“Everyone has been affected by cancer in some way, and participating in charity events like the Big Walk is a meaningful way for companies to show support for employees and their families. It’s also a fantastic team-building opportunity,” says Algoa FM marketing manager, Lesley Geyer.
The 2024 event beneficiaries include CHOC Eastern Cape, St Bernard’s Hospice in East London, and St Francis Hospice, which serves Nelson Mandela Bay and the Kouga region.
For businesses in Nelson Mandela Bay, corporate bulk entries of more than 21 people come with a special bonus: free delivery of race packs to your premises by volunteers in pink ISUZU vehicles. For East London and George teams, race packs are available at registration or can be delivered anywhere in South Africa for R195 via The Courier Guy.
Looking to support the cause even more? Companies can also make donations to one, or all three, of the event’s beneficiaries. As a thank you, donors stand a chance to win a full collector’s merchandise kit in the Donor’s Lucky Draw.
