IF you intend to spend April Fools Day trying to avoid being the butt of someone’s joke, then maybe it’s time to turn the tables and spend it laughing at someone else.
Rocking Rabbit Café, in Worraker Street Newton Park, will be hosting a Comedy Night this Saturday, April 1 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Dishing out the jokes is Ryan James who says; he left South Africa, went up North, discovered the fine cuisines (that all compose of potatoes) and explored the advanced workplace that is the till. He then discovered reasons to come back home and complain about how he can’t get the potato out of his teeth.
“While we cannot guarantee your meal will be safe from Jame’s cravings for South African cuisine, we can promise he’ll add the laughs to your April Fools,” says organisers.
This comedy night promises more than just belly laughs as James will share the Rocking Rabbit Café stage with “One Crazy China” Li Lau.

Since his television appearance, on a tv talent show that also happens up North, he has returned to South Africa, where he has raked up amazing performances and awards.
Lau is an award-winning performer as well as a world record holder who defies reality by pushing himself to the extremes of his body and mind
This entertainer has had his performance described as, “the most dangerous act ever seen” and Rocking Rabbit Café gives locals the chance to experience Lau for themselves.
While you’re at Rocking Rabbit Café, you can taste the delights on the Rocking Rabbit Cafés menu. From burgers to pumpkin pie, your tastebuds will be just as delighted that you decided to rock down to what is affectionately known by patrons as the coolest café in Newton Park.
Tickets are only R50 (they promise that isn’t a prank). Bookings and queries to Steven on 071 579 0025
