THE River Mile celebrated its 99th year of existence recently. Competitors and spectators came from near and far to participate in Africa’s oldest open-water swimming event. 

The action-packed family day which takes place at Cannonville on the Sundays River has become one of Nelson Mandela Bay’s premier events.
