In just three short years, Kelly Februarie has gone from a newly minted graduate to the Foundation Phase Head of Department at Kamdebo Primary School in Graaff-Reinet. \

Reflecting on her journey, Kelly attributes much of her success to the principles of inclusive education she embraced during her studies at The IIE’s Varsity College Nelson Mandela Bay. These principles, which focus on creating an educational environment that supports all learners, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities, have been a cornerstone of her teaching philosophy.
“What we were exposed to in terms of inclusive education during our studies and Teaching Experience throughout the four-year degree, is, in actual fact, a reality for me today,” Kelly shared. “It is so exciting that I am applying inclusive education principles in my classroom every day.”
