I REMEMBER running home after extra murals every afternoon to catch Dragon Ball Z, only to have them wait a week for Goku to either come back from the dead or release a spirit bomb. Aaah, those were some pretty good times.
Luckily you no longer need to wait that long to watch your favourite anime shows, with streaming sites like Netflix and Crunchyroll to keep you up to date, all the time. Well, it’s that and sacrificing some sleep, and I mean, who really sleeps these days?
We now have a vast array of shows to choose from, and sometimes someone else’s popular choice won’t necessarily be yours, but it is a good way to see what you are into. Whether it be troubled protagonists with strong sword fighting skills, magical creatures or my personal favourite, epic intro songs (let’s be real here, anime shows have the best musical scores by far). So to get you started, here are the Top 3 anime shows for the month of March 2023.

Released March 04th, 2023, the third season of Attack on Titan was released on Crunchyroll, albeit a bit later than intended as the plan was to release it internationally along with the release in Japan.
Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人 Shingeki no Kyojin) is an anime series based on the manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama. The story revolves around humanity living in a city surrounded by walls to protect themselves from the Titans. Gigantic humanoid figures devour humans for no reason. The main protagonist Eren Jaeger, and his childhood friends Mikasa Ackermann and Armin Arlelt are out for revenge after the appearance of the Colossal Titan who destroys their home town and brings about the death of Eren’s mother. Urged by revenge and a need to reclaim their world from the Titans, they set about to join the Scout Regiment, an elite group of soldiers who fight Titans outside the walls.
With the series released in April 2013, many AoT fans have been waiting for Part 3 with bated breath as it marks the closing of the story. Part 3 is divided into two parts, with the first part being released already and the second part for release later in the year.

It was later issued in print format and has since been released in physical mangas in English as well.
Set in a fantasy world full of characters who possess magical powers, it follows a character called Sung Jinwoo, who is one of the weakest Hunters in the world before he mysteriously levels up. He quickly becomes stronger and stronger and surpasses all those who once thought him to be weak.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – Mugen Train
We wait with bated breath as Ster Kinekor brings us Demon Slayer: Mugen Train – The Movie. Not to be confused with Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc as the difference between the two is that the Arc covers more details whereas the movie covers it all in under 2 hours. Not a new release but definitely one to watch in the cinema with a slew of your favourite anime friends.
The story continues on with Tanjiro and the group has completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion and is set to arrive at their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over 40 people have disappeared in a very short period of time.
Tanjiro along with Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke join one of the most powerful swordsmen with the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to face the demon aboard the train to fight for their lives.
