There’s good news for education-focused non-profits working to uplift historically disadvantaged communities across the Algoa FM broadcast area: funding applications are now open through the FEM ED Company.
The FEM ED Company is an independent non-profit organisation, proudly funded by Umoya Communications, the owner of Algoa FM. Committed to driving real change through education, the FEM ED Company invites registered NPOs to apply for financial support aimed at empowering black females, female youth, and disabled females through education initiatives.
Who Can Apply:
Registered NPOs operating within Algoa FM’s extensive broadcast footprint — stretching from the Wild Coast, through the Karoo hinterland, and into the Garden Route — are encouraged to submit their applications. Eligible organisations must demonstrate a clear focus on educational empowerment for historically disadvantaged females.
Applications should be aligned with the FEM ED Company’s evaluation criteria, detailing exactly how the requested funding will be used, with the emphasis on ensuring that the majority of the funds directly benefit the target groups.
