Women’s Month Competition Empowers Female Entrepreneurs with R10,000 Start-Up Boost

In honour of Women’s Month, a new initiative offers female entrepreneurs a chance to win R10,000 each to kickstart their business ventures.

Philanthropist and businessman, Zunaid Moti, has announced an exciting new initiative to uplift and empower female entrepreneurs. Through his free online business intervention and mentorship programme, MotiMoves, he fosters new opportunities and provides vital business support.

Moti recently published an insightful article detailing five innovative business ideas that can be started with an initial investment of R10,000 or less. To further demonstrate his belief in this ideology, Moti is launching a Women’s Day competition on his social media platforms where five lucky women will each receive R10,000 to kickstart their business ventures.

The competition opens on 9 August and will run until 31 August. On 2 September, five winners will be announced, each receiving R10,000 to start their entrepreneurial dreams.

“This initiative is about more than just financial support,” Moti said. “It’s about empowering women to take charge of their destinies and start businesses with a modest capital layout. Many people assume that you need hundreds of thousands to start a business, which is not always the case. Who better to show us that this is possible than five female entrepreneurs? Women’s Month is the perfect time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and creativity of women in business.”

This initiative highlights the role of MotiMoves in uplifting and empowering entrepreneurs and encouraging aspiring female entrepreneurs to tag him in their motivations with a quick video explaining why their business idea should be selected, using the hashtags #ZunaidMoti and #MotiMovesEmpowers.

Moti is further celebrating Women’s Month by giving away 100 x R500 vouchers to random ladies throughout the month. To participate, women should tag him in a video explaining why they deserve to spoil themselves this month and use the hashtags #ZunaidMoti and #MotiMovesCompetition.

Since he founded MotiMoves in 2023, Moti has put his money where his mouth is by creating a R30 million investment pot to help launch promising start-ups, and sponsor up-and-coming talent in the creative and sports industries.
