WHAT’S ON | Here are a few things to look out for at Boardwalk

From fashion and Afrikaans pop to Afro-soul and a tribute to one of R&B’s greatest voices, the next few months are looking busy at the Boardwalk ICC.

If you’re already filling up the last few pages of your 2026 diary, there are a few dates worth circling.

Luce della Moda brings fashion to the ICC

First up is Luce della Moda 2026: ECLIPSE on 10 October at 6pm.

Presented by Braemore Design, the show promises an immersive mix of fashion, art, music and entertainment, with the runway at the centre of it all.

This one is particularly close to home for 041Online — we’ll be there to see what some of the Bay’s creatives bring to the runway.

Tickets are R320.

Appel heads to Gqeberha

Afrikaans music fans can look forward to Appel at the Boardwalk ICC on 6 November at 9pm.

Known for songs including Foute, Nonna and Jagter, Appel brings his mix of Afrikaans pop and rock to the Bay.

Vusi Nova celebrates a decade of Naninina

November also brings Vusi Nova home for two nights as part of his Here to Stay National Tour.

The award-winning Afro-pop and Afro-soul artist will perform at the Boardwalk ICC on 21 and 22 November at 8pm, celebrating 10 years since the release of his album Naninina.

The show will take audiences through a decade of music, including career-defining hits and fan favourites.

A little Luther Vandross for December

Then, just in time for the festive season, Here & Now: A Luther Vandross Tribute returns to Gqeberha on 12 December at 8pm.

Led by vocalist Fagrie Isaacs and backed by a live band, the production celebrates the music of Luther Vandross with favourites including Never Too Much, Dance With My Father, Here and Now and So Amazing.

One more for the December diary

And December isn’t done there. Kings & Queens of Comedy is also heading to the Boardwalk ICC on 16 December, giving Bay audiences another reason to keep some space open in the festive calendar.

With fashion, live music, comedy and a little nostalgia on the programme, there’s quite a bit happening at the Boardwalk before 2026 wraps up.

041Online will be keeping an eye on what’s happening around the Bay and bringing you more on the events worth adding to your calendar.
