In a culture where self-love is often reduced to aesthetic routines and motivational quotes, an upcoming webinar hosted by 041Online aims to offer something more practical.
On 28 February at 11am, 041Online Editor Eleanor Douglas-Meyers will be joined by counselling psychology professional, speaker and transformational coach Alethea Ross for a live self-love webinar focused on navigating burnout, overwhelm and emotional fatigue in high-demand environments.
Rather than approaching self-love as something aspirational, the session will explore what it means to care for yourself in environments where slowing down is not always possible.
Ross, who brings over a decade of experience in sustainable, human-centred change across individuals, teams and organisations, works at the intersection of trauma-informed coaching and nervous system-based practices.
Her contribution to the webinar will focus on:
- Normalising experiences of overwhelm and overstimulation
- Translating emotional fatigue into accessible nervous system language
- Exploring why highly capable individuals often struggle with rest and boundaries
- Sharing practical regulation and self-trust tools that can be applied in busy, demanding environments
The session will include a short introductory segment, followed by approximately 35 to 45 minutes of guided discussion and teaching, before closing with a 10-minute Q&A or reflection segment.
In addition to the live discussion, attendees will receive a companion digital workbook designed to reinforce inner regulation practices and self-trust exercises beyond the session.
The resource will include locally relevant support options curated by 041Online, such as spaces to unwind, organisations offering mental health support, and community-based services for those who may need additional assistance navigating burnout, stress or emotional overwhelm.
Douglas-Meyers, who has previously spoken openly about her own mental and physical health journey, will also offer insight into how nervous system awareness and self-support tools can be applied in real-life scenarios — particularly in demanding work environments or during periods of chronic stress.
The intention is to bridge the gap between theory and lived experience, offering attendees practical ways to engage with self-care beyond idealised routines.
The webinar is intended for professionals, caregivers, students or anyone navigating high levels of responsibility who may appear capable on the outside, but feel depleted internally.
Registration details will be shared ahead of the session.
