The worlds largest floating book fair docks in Gqeberha

The biggest floating book fair in the world, Logos Hope, is back in Gqeberha until March 17. This follows their last visit in November 2016, when approximately 36,000 guests were welcomed onboard during their stay.

With over 5,000 titles available at reasonable prices, Logos Hope’s onboard book fair provides an extremely wide selection of books. This includes everything from science, sports, hobbies, cooking, the arts, medicine, languages, and faith. The book fair offers dictionaries, atlases, children’s books, academic texts, and much more for the whole family to enjoy.

The Visitor Experience Deck, open to the public, beckons exploration. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, from the Welcome Area, which provides an introduction to the vessel through a short film and interactive displays, to the International Cafe, where delicious treats like ice cream, drinks, and snacks are available for purchase.

Logos Hope will open to the public at the Port of Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) from 23 Feb – 17 Mar 2024.

Adults (13 to 64 years old) pay R10 to enter; children under 12 and those 65 and older enter free of charge. Please take note that entrance fees do not include port fees. Sales of tickets continue for an hour prior to closing. Tuesday through Friday, from 11:00 to 13:00, the ship will be open for schools.
