The Pink Lounge Returns to Gqeberha With an Evening of Creativity, Connection and Self-Discovery

In a world that often feels increasingly disconnected, local comedian and creative entrepreneur Chantal Harris is once again creating space for women to slow down, connect and simply be.

The Pink Lounge returns to Gqeberha on 10 June at Nineteen33 in Fairview, bringing together women for an evening centred around creativity, conversation and personal growth.

Created by Harris, The Pink Lounge was born from a desire to create a genuine community space for women – one that goes beyond networking events and social gatherings.

“I created The Pink Lounge because I needed it to exist. And if I needed it, I knew other women did too,” says Harris.

The concept is built on the belief that meaningful connections matter, particularly during times of uncertainty and stress. Rather than focusing on performance or productivity, The Pink Lounge encourages women to show up exactly as they are.

The upcoming gathering, themed Create & Release, will feature two facilitated experiences designed to help attendees explore creativity and challenge limiting beliefs.

Creativity Without Pressure

Artist Carryn Gunston will lead a hands-on painting session where participants are encouraged to create freely, regardless of their artistic experience.

The focus is not on producing a masterpiece, but on embracing the joy of creativity and self-expression.

Releasing Limiting Beliefs

Lecturer, performer and confidence coach Rose Cowpar will guide attendees through a practical exercise aimed at identifying and reframing limiting beliefs.

The session is designed to help women unpack the stories they tell themselves and create space for new perspectives and possibilities.

A Safe Space for Women

Hosted at Nineteen33, The Pink Lounge maintains a strong emphasis on confidentiality and emotional safety.

Organisers say the event is designed as a judgement-free environment where women can share openly, listen deeply and support one another.

There is no dress code and no expectation to perform.

Just women gathering, connecting and creating together.
