The Mandela Bay Arts Festival (MBAF) is back, February 22 to March 2, 2025, transforming Gqeberha into a hub of creativity and cultural expression! This remarkable initiative by the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality is a multidisciplinary arts showcase designed to elevate local talent, nurture creative industries, and establish the city as a destination for arts and culture lovers.

What Makes MBAF Unique?
The festival isn’t a single event but a series of vibrant performances, workshops, and exhibitions spread across multiple venues throughout the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro. Over the course of 10 days, residents and visitors alike will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the arts, whether through theatre, poetry, comedy, dance, music, or crafts.
