After just one season in the NEBFA 1st Division, New Brighton Academy FC — known as the Students — have officially earned their promotion back to the prestigious NEBFA Premier League. And they’ve done it with unmatched dominance.
With a perfect record of 9 wins from 9 games, the Students currently sit comfortably atop the 1st Division log, having amassed an uncatchable 27 points. With six matches still to play, their position is mathematically unassailable, ensuring their place back in the Premier League for next season.
The gap between the Students and second-place City Defenders FC B is now 9 points, while third-place Dodgers FC B trail by 10. With 18 points still available, the Students have already sealed their promotion, regardless of the results in the remaining fixtures.
It’s been a statement return for the Students, who faced the disappointment of relegation last season. Their comeback has been defined by resilience, team cohesion, and consistency — qualities that have propelled them back into the top tier far ahead of schedule.
