Reptiles, Birds of Prey and Family Fun Await at SANCCOB This July

Looking for something wild to do with the family these school holidays? A fascinating morning of reptiles, birds of prey and wildlife education is heading to Gqeberha next month.

SANCCOB and Animals in Wonderland are once again joining forces to present their annual Reptile Talk and Demonstration, promising an unforgettable experience for animal lovers of all ages.

Taking place on Saturday, 4 July, the event will be hosted at SANCCOB in the beautiful Cape Recife Nature Reserve.

Meet Some Incredible Creatures

Visitors can expect a morning filled with fascinating facts, live demonstrations and close encounters with some remarkable animal ambassadors.

Among the stars of the show are:

  • Mia, the wise and beautiful Spotted Eagle Owl
  • Dash, a majestic Harris Hawk who will take to the skies in an exciting flying display
  • Bloo, the friendly Blue Tongue Skink
  • Rex, a giant but gentle Burmese Python

The annual event aims to educate and inspire while offering families the chance to experience wildlife up close in a safe and interactive environment.

Whether your children are budding conservationists or simply curious about the animal kingdom, the Reptile Talk and Demonstration offers a fun and educational outing during the winter school holidays.

Hosted at SANCCOB’s facility within the Cape Recife Nature Reserve, the event combines conservation, learning and entertainment in one unique experience.

Those who have visited SANCCOB before will know that the organisation plays a vital role in the rescue and rehabilitation of seabirds along South Africa’s coastline.
