PNA Funky Socks Day 2025 Raises R2 Million for Communities in SA and Namibia

PNA Funky Socks Day 2025 has wrapped with a standout success, raising R2 million for four charities making a real difference across South Africa and Namibia: Breadline Africa, CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA, Rally to Read and Matla a Bana.

Held on 12 September, the annual campaign once again brought together customers, schools and businesses who stepped out in their brightest, funkiest socks, proudly wearing their R10 stickers and sharing the spirit online through #RockYourFunkySocks and #PNAFunkySocksDay.

Thanks to thousands of supporters, this year’s funds will provide:

  • 50 educational packs for under-resourced schools via Breadline Africa.
  • Digital learning support for young cancer patients through CHOC’s iPad Learning Programme.
  • Teacher training and literacy resources through Rally to Read.
  • 600 comfort packs for child abuse survivors through Matla a Bana.

The R2 million raised marks one of PNA’s most impactful community campaigns to date, with every contribution directly benefiting children and families.

“We are incredibly grateful to be chosen again as a beneficiary of PNA Funky Socks Day. Every sticker and every pair of bright socks help us support children and communities that deserve safety, dignity and opportunity,” says Mette Kirsten, Head of Brand and Communications at Breadline Africa.

“Each pair of funky socks and stickers sold represented heart and hope. We are incredibly proud of what our community achieved together,” adds Herman Botha, Senior Executive: Product and Marketing.

Supporters are encouraged to look out for next year’s campaign, which promises even bolder goals, brighter socks and bigger hearts.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to every PNA customer, partner, school, ambassador and business that took part. Every pair of socks and every sticker truly counted.
