Not even a torrential downpour could keep Nelson Mandela Bay’s foodies and fashionistas away from the much-anticipated launch of The Lemon Tree Restaurant — the latest culinary venture by celebrated entrepreneur and restaurateur, Lauren Nash.
With her signature flair for blending quality, sustainability, and style, Nash has once again elevated the local food scene — this time with a wholesome, feel-good eatery that’s as nourishing as it is Instagram-worthy.
Tucked away in the heart of Gqeberha, The Lemon Tree serves up a fresh take on contemporary dining. The menu bursts with colour, flavour, and locally sourced goodness, all plated to perfection in a space that’s as effortlessly chic as it is welcoming.
“We’ve created a space where good food and great company come together,” said Nash. “At The Lemon Tree, we believe eating well should be simple, soulful, and shared.”
The exclusive launch event was an elegant celebration of all things fresh and flavourful. Guests sipped, sampled, and socialised while soaking in live entertainment and beautifully presented tasters from the new menu.
Among the high-profile attendees spotted in the stylish crowd were media personality Buli G, PR maven Michelle Brown, Algoa FM’s Marketing Manager Lesley Geyer, International Hotel School’s Tatum Oppelt, fashion designer Morne Van Der Schyff, Selwin Willis from Community Chest, Shaun Martin of Boom Town, Cameron Gail and Niel Mouton from Boast Events, and Yo! Media’s Cameron Millar and Melvin Iverson — all braving the rain to toast this exciting new chapter.
“I’m beyond proud of this team and the incredible support we’ve received,” Nash shared in her closing toast. “This is the beginning of something truly special.”
