This Women’s Day the Bay’s businesswomen weren’t just sipping cocktails they were raising glasses to bold, brilliant, and business-minded women making waves across Gqeberha.

Hosted by Isango Gate Boutique Hotel & Spa the event aimed for more than just celebration; it was about showcasing real women with real businesses inspiring and uplifting each other in a space designed for connection and growth.

“There’s so much untapped talent and so many powerful stories in this city,” says Denisha Roberts, Operations Manager at Isango Gate. “Women are running businesses raising families and redefining success on their own terms. We just wanted to give that energy a platform to shine.”

The 2025 theme Strength, Style and Success perfectly captured the modern businesswoman resilient confident and focused on her own version of achievement.

With a floral dress code and cocktail masterclass led by a professional mixologist, the afternoon was equal parts empowerment and elegance. Guests enjoyed interactive fun a live test drive and giveaways all wrapped in an atmosphere buzzing with good vibes and networking.

The celebrations continued at the Boardwalk ICC in Gqeberha with I’m Every Woman Volume 2, a tribute concert honouring South African women’s power and resilience through music.

The stage was transformed into a spectacular arena of soaring vocals and bold production with nods to global icons like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. South African music legends, Andrea Fortuin, Karin Kortjé and Jade Engelbrecht delivered electrifying performances filled with soul-stirring ballads and uplifting anthems.

Adding magic to the night, Fagrie Isaacs paid homage to some of the best-loved ballads by artists such as George Benson, Luther Vandross and more, adding his uniquely South African twist.

The concert was more than a show, it was a celebration of identity unity and empowerment bringing women together through the universal language of music.
