Nelson Mandela Bay is revving up for one of the most iconic charity motorcycling events in South Africa. The Toy Run, now in its 33rd year, returns on Sunday, 30 November 2025, and the excitement is already building across the Bay.
What started as a simple idea, with bikers riding together to collect toys for vulnerable children, has grown into a national movement recognised for its heart, its impact, and its unmistakable roar of community spirit. The NMB chapter has become one of the country’s most passionate, and this year looks set to be the biggest one yet.
Ride Day: What’s Happening
The day kicks off at the Kings Beach Parking Lot, where hundreds of riders gather before the mass ride. Engines start rumbling long before the official start time, and by 10h00, the convoy sets off in a spectacular display of chrome, leather, colour, and unity.
All roads lead to Elements PE, the hosting venue for the 2025 afterparty. The energy at Elements is always electric. It is a blend of live music, food, community, and celebration after a powerful morning on the road.
Entry is R80, payable in cash at the gate. The first 800 entrants will also receive the official 2025 Year Badge, a proudly collected keepsake among regular Toy Run riders.
To make things smooth on the day, please remember that Elements PE is a cashless venue, and the bar will not accept cash.
More Than a Ride: What You’ll Find at the Finish
The afterparty brings the fun with a little something for everyone:
- A live performance by SHARD
- A selection of delicious food stalls
- A family-friendly environment
- Hundreds of riders and supporters all gathering for the same cause
Whether you come for the bikes, the people, or the purpose behind the day, the Toy Run delivers an atmosphere you will not find anywhere else.
Why the Toy Run Matters
Beyond the thrill and the noise, the Toy Run is about something much bigger. It supports children in need across Nelson Mandela Bay.
Every toy donated becomes a moment of joy, a spark of hope, and a reminder to a child that the community sees them and cares about them. For many beneficiaries, these toys are the only gifts they receive during the festive season.
The event’s organisers and volunteers have spent decades building partnerships with children’s homes, safe houses, and outreach programmes. Their work ensures that every toy finds its way into the right hands.
“Ride with purpose. Ride with heart” has always been more than a tagline. It is the spirit of the event.
