It’s halftime in the New Brighton Football Association (NEBFA) season, and the first round has delivered all the goals, drama, and upsets local football fans could ask for. With just 15 games to go, both the Premier League and 1st Division are perfectly poised for a fierce finish.

Premier League: Callies in Command, Jumpers Under Pressure

CCX Callies FC are sitting comfortably at the top of the table after a dominant first-round run. Dodgers FC are not far behind, holding tight in second, while City Defenders FC have made a strong push into third place.

The midfield battle is heating up, with Boast Pirates FC and Red Lions FC tied on 27 points in fourth and fifth.

At the lower end of the log, Eastern Jumpers FC have struggled to find their rhythm, losing five on the bounce. In the relegation zone, Bold Tigers FC are currently in 15th place, while Bush Bucks FC remain at the bottom. Both clubs will be desperate to turn things around as the second round begins.

1st Division: NB Academy Set the Pace

In the 1st Division, NB Academy FC have been the standout side. With seven wins from seven matches, they remain unbeaten and firmly on track for promotion. Peace Lovers FC currently sit in third with 13 points, while City Stars FC are in sixth after a tough weekend loss.

As the second round kicks off, the 1st Division remains wide open, with every match counting in the race for the top spot.
