Cindy Jumat, a Cape Town-based coach, has launched the Mummy to Bride Marriage Bootcamp, aimed at helping women heal from past emotional wounds and prepare for healthy, fulfilling marriages. After spending ten years in Philadelphia as an au pair, Cindy returned to Cape Town in 2018 to pursue her calling in ministry.
The bootcamp combines emotional healing with practical life coaching, helping women break free from past trauma, restore their self-worth, and build strong foundations for relationships. In this Q&A, Cindy shares the inspiration behind the program and how it helps women transform emotionally and spiritually as they prepare for marriage. (THIS IS AVAILABLE VIRTUALLY FOR NMB)
What inspired you to create the Mummy to Bride Marriage Bootcamp?
“My journey of healing from emotional wounds, past trauma, and spiritual battles led me to develop this programme. I wanted to help women break free from their past, embrace wholeness, and prepare for a godly marriage by renewing their identity in Christ.”
What does “Mummy to Bride” symbolise in your journey and for the women who join the programme?
“It symbolises transformation—moving from a place of emotional bondage (‘mummy’ wrapped in the past) to becoming a healed, confident bride ready for God’s best. It’s about shedding old wounds, breaking free from cycles, and stepping into a new season with faith.”
Who is the ideal participant for this bootcamp, and what challenges do they typically face?
“This bootcamp is for women who desire emotional healing, spiritual growth, and preparation for a godly marriage. Many struggle with past heartbreak, rejection, insecurity, soul ties, or family patterns that hinder them from stepping into a healthy relationship.”
How do you help women heal from past relationships and release soul ties?
“Through guided prayers, deliverance sessions, and mindset renewal exercises, we help women cut unhealthy soul ties, forgive past hurts, and reclaim their identity in Christ. It’s about breaking free spiritually, emotionally, and mentally from toxic connections.”
In what ways does the programme address breaking generational curses and spiritual hindrances?
“We identify generational patterns affecting relationships—such as divorce, abandonment, or fear of commitment—and apply biblical truths, deliverance prayers, and strategic action steps to break these cycles and create a new legacy rooted in faith.”
How does your bootcamp blend spiritual principles with practical life coaching?
“We combine biblical wisdom with actionable steps—teaching women to set boundaries, build self-worth, strengthen their faith, and develop healthy relationship skills. Each lesson includes both spiritual insight and practical application.”
What strategies do you use to help participants overcome insecurities and renew their minds?
“We focus on identity restoration through Scripture-based affirmations, self-reflection exercises, inner healing work, and confidence-building challenges. Women learn to see themselves through God’s eyes, replacing lies with truth.”
How do you integrate biblical teachings into the process of preparing for a Christ-centred marriage?
“Each session is grounded in God’s Word, covering topics like submission, love, purpose, communication, and purity. Women learn how to apply biblical principles to relationships and cultivate a marriage mindset rooted in Christ.”
Can you explain the practical steps the programme offers to help women embody the qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman?
“We focus on spiritual growth, financial wisdom, emotional resilience, and serving with excellence. Women learn to nurture their homes, embrace purpose, walk in wisdom, and cultivate character traits that reflect a godly wife and leader.”
What does a typical week look like in the 12-week bootcamp?
“Each week includes live teachings, group discussions, assignments, prayer challenges, and personal coaching. Topics range from healing and identity restoration to relationship preparation, vision planning, and practical life skills.”
How do you measure or recognise transformation in the women who complete the programme?
“We track their emotional, spiritual, and mindset shifts. Many experience greater confidence, inner peace, and clarity in their purpose. Testimonials of restored self-worth, renewed faith, and breakthrough moments highlight the programme’s impact.”
What message of hope and encouragement do you have for women seeking healing and a renewed sense of purpose?
“Your past does not define you—God has a beautiful future for you. Healing is possible, transformation is real, and you are worthy of love that honours God. Step into this journey with faith and trust that He is preparing you for something greater.”
