Mbokodo Rise returns to The Capital Boardwalk on Saturday, 29 August 2026, for its ninth annual celebration of women in leadership, business, entrepreneurship, culture and community impact.
Taking place from 10:30 to 14:30, this year’s Women’s Month empowerment event will be held under the banner “Action Acceleration”, bringing women together for an afternoon of meaningful conversations, storytelling, networking, music and celebration.
Founded by SG Comms, Mbokodo Rise has developed into a platform where women from different backgrounds can connect, share experiences and learn from influential voices.
Expected speakers for the 2026 edition include Nomdeni Mdakhi of The Agenda Woman, Nicolette Mashile, popularly known as Financial Fitness Bunny, and Mihlali Matokazi of The Synergy Circle, with additional speakers still to be announced.
This year’s dress theme is Traditional Wear, with guests encouraged to celebrate heritage and culture through their attire.
Following the response to its 2025 edition, organisers say this year’s event will be bigger and more inspiring as Mbokodo Rise continues its focus on women making an impact in their industries and communities.
