His journey into the world of comedy commenced with a landmark debut at 20:50 on the 20th of
November 2016, marking a pivotal moment at The Box Comedy Club in Maboneng, Johannesburg.
Since his auspicious beginnings, Jermaine has captivated audiences across Gauteng and in Nelson Mandela Bay with his unique blend of wit and charm. His comedic prowess reached new heights with the resounding success of his inaugural solo performance at Joburg Theatre, precisely one year and five days after his debut on the comedy scene.
Before his illustrious comedy career, Jermaine dedicated a quarter century to various roles within the call centre industry. During this time, he discovered his true passion for entertaining and connecting with audiences through laughter. For Jermaine Mattroos, the stage isn’t just a platform; it’s a calling that resonates deep within his soul.
