Join The Celebration Of Women’s Month At Mbokodo Rise On August 10

On August 10, 2024, SG Communications will host the much-anticipated Mbokodo Rise event at Running Waters Executive Venue in Gqeberha.

This annual celebration has become a cornerstone of Women’s Month in South Africa, dedicated to empowering women, fostering resilience, and creating a platform for impactful discussions. This year’s theme, “Her Story Matters,” emphasizes the importance of every woman’s journey, resonating deeply with ABSA’s supportive philosophy, “Your Story Matters.”

Mbokodo Rise commemorates the historic 1956 women’s march to the Union Buildings in Pretoria, a pivotal moment in the fight against apartheid’s oppressive pass laws. This legacy of strength and resistance continues to inspire the event, which brings together women from various sectors to share their stories, network, and engage in meaningful conversations.
