Introducing Sithakgele Ledwaba’s Nelson Mandela Bay

WE have been asking the people of Nelson Mandela Bay what they love about the metro. We hope to shine some light on just what it is that makes Nelson Mandela Bay and its residents so proud to call it home. Today we talk to Sithakgele Ledwaba a student and social media influencer.

Please introduce yourself

My name is Sithakgele Ledwaba. I’m a Student at Nelson Mandela University and a full-time Social Media Influencer and Digital Content Creator, passionate about Beauty, Fashion, Lifestyle, Travel and Youth Empowerment. I spend my time promoting and working with amazing Brands. My overall goal is to inspire young women to embrace their beauty, by taking good care of both their inner and outer beauty, and to always love their uniqueness.

Where do you always take guests, to show off NMB

A beautiful restaurant, with a great aesthetic with a beach view is the perfect way to introduce my guests to Nelson Mandela Bay.

Where is your favourite place to eat?

As someone who loves exploring different places to eat, it would be difficult to pick a favourite, but if I had to choose I would say Village Local would be my current go-to. Not only does it cater to my student’s budget, but the food and aesthetics are always on point. You can never go wrong by going there.

Where is your favourite place to relax?

The beach, whenever I feel overwhelmed, I park by the beach and just watch the waves and the sunset, they definitely help me relax.

Which spot holds real significance for you?

There are so many, but I’d have to go with Something Good Roadhouse as it is always my go to spot for ice cream and cocktail dates by the beach while watching the sunset.

Where do you like to shop?

I love shopping at the Walmer Park Shopping Mall as it has all my favourite stores in one place.

Where can you be found on weekends?

I’m actually such a homebody, so if you don’t find me in my room then you’ll probably find me out at a beautiful restaurant with friends or family, or sometimes on a mini weekend getaway, but on Sundays, you’ll most probably find me in church.

What have you not done in the / or haven’t gone but really want to?

I’ve always wanted to visit the Addo National Park as well as Sardinia Bay Beach so these are both on my bucket list.

What is your wish for the city

For it to continue to grow in all aspects.
