Great news for aspiring writers and illustrators

The NMBM in conjunction with the Red Location Cultural Precinct and Library Services is giving aspiring writers and illustrators the opportunity of a lifetime.

Ten writers and ten illustrators will be chosen to attend a two-week Creative Writing and Illustration workshop for creatives at the end of this month (March 20-31)

The workshops will be presented at the Mendi Arts Centre in New Brighton and aim to help harness and develop creativity in participants whilst sharpening writing skills and the presentation of written work.

Organizers say the program has been developed with sun and interactivity in mind and will allow participants to work closely with professionals in the industry in order to explore the art of writing and illustration.

All workshop participants will have the work they produce during the course evaluated and screened with the possibility of being included in a book.
