If you’ve been thinking about growing your social media following, building your personal brand, or maybe even taking a serious stab at becoming an influencer, your next stop might just be… the cinema.
Yes, you read that right. Ster-Kinekor has teamed up with Ûle Creative to bring Your Path to Viral – a four-part masterclass series on content creation and online growth – to the big screen in South Africa, Namibia, and Zambia.
Hosted by Wian Van Den Berg, better known as Wian the Magician (and with good reason – he’s one of SA’s most-followed creators with 29.4 million followers and 315 million likes), the series promises to break down what it really takes to go viral. Expect tips on creating engaging content, building an audience, and monetising your online presence.
The rollout starts with a red-carpet premiere at Ster-Kinekor The Grove in Tshwane on Wednesday, 27 August at 20:00, where Wian himself will be in attendance. Tickets to that event cost R450, and include the chance to meet him in person. For those who don’t make it to Tshwane, Episode 1 will screen at other Ster-Kinekor cinemas at the same time (without the red-carpet extras).
From there, the series will run over four weeks:
Episode 1: 28 August – 2 September
Episode 2: 3 September
Episode 3: 10 September
Episode 4: 17 September
Each screening will include showtimes at 14:30 and 20:00, and thanks to a live chat feature, audiences will even be able to interact with Wian in real time.
