Don’t Miss Rocking the Vaal 2026

If you’re heading inland this holiday don’t miss out on Rocking the Vaal 2026. With record-breaking food attempts, live music, comedy, and family-friendly activities, it’s set to be an unforgettable day for all ages.

This year’s festival, on Saturday, 11 April 2026 at Emerald Resort & Casino in Vanderbijlpark, will attempt two Guinness World Records: the largest serving of pancakes with 30 000 portions, and the largest serving of chilli con carne with 3 000 kg prepared on site. Festivalgoers are invited to participate in the attempts, making the day as interactive as it is memorable.

Building on last year’s success, Rocking the Vaal 2025 set three Guinness World Records, including the largest pot of pap, the largest serving of kebab meat, and the most people breaking bread simultaneously. Jaco Verwey, festival organiser, says:“These shared food moments bring people together and create experiences that resonate far beyond the Vaal.”

The festival’s live music line-up includes Die Heuwels Fantasties, Demi Lee Moore, Droomsindroom, Kurt Darren, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Irene-Louise van Wyk, Refentse, and Adam Tas, ensuring entertainment for all ages. Local performers will also take part in the Guinness World Record attempts, adding to the fun and energy of the day.
