The thought of getting your first million rand will at most sound amazing, until that moment you actually get it, and realize how overwhelming it actually is.

What is most overwhelming is not having a plan that can accommodate your first million. 

It may sound intimidating to think or even plan for having a million rand when you are not even established as a business owner.

The truth is that if you are unable to think or conceive it, it will be more difficult to achieve it.

So, to help you realise your fist, let’s start to visualise it.

Some fundamental questions to ask yourself are the following:

  1. Why would I want a million rand?
  2. What would I do with it
  3. Who will I become with this status
  4. How would I generate this sum of money
  5. When do I foresee to get this sum of money
  6. What would it cost me to get this amount of money

These are just some key reflective questions related to getting your mind in the right state.

With this, and some key strategies related to your business, it will help you work towards that first million rand. This is where SMART goals will truly help you master the art of planning.

Working towards that amount would entail you answering the above questions and some additional questions that can guide you through this process.

Regardless of how long it will take you to achieve this goal, as long as it is clear, practical, and fun.

The only thing you stand to lose as you work towards it is time. The gain can be a solid plan to pitch to a potential investor!
