Blue Lock the movie has landed! You heard that right! Blue Lock: The Movie – Episode Nagi is at Ster-Kinekor nationwide.

The story follows Seishiro Nagi, a lazy high school sophomore after he is discovered to have a natural talent for soccer by his classmate Reo Mikage, who dreams of winning the World Cup. After showing off his talent for soccer, Seishiro is invited to play for the Blue Lock Project. There he meets strikers from all over the country, including Kiyoyoichi, Hachiraku Mawaru and Itoshi Rin. Block the Movie: Episode Nagi is the prequel to the anime and follows soccer genius Nagi Seishiro instead of the series’ main protagonist, Yoichi Isagi.
Blue Lock is based on the award-winning manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, and the anime has been directed by Tesuaki Watanabe. If you are wondering why that name sounds familiar, it is because he is the episode director behind Haikyu!!. Shunsuke Ishikawa, the assistant director of the anime, is directing the film under the production of Studio 8-Bit.
If sports anime is what tickles your fancy, Blue Lock is the one for you. Hard-hitting soccer action, that makes you relive all the highs and lows that soccer has to offer, if this still doesn’t convince you, check out the trailer below:
