Presented by Impact Community Theatre Company, this crowd-favourite musical event hits the Savoy Theatre stage from 24 to 27 July, bringing a dazzling two-hour celebration of chart-topping classics from the ’50s to the ’80s. A Musical Journey Across Generations
From Elvis to Etta James, Elton John to Queen — expect spine-tingling vocals, powerhouse performances, and nostalgic bangers that’ll have you singing along from curtain up to curtain call. This year’s production features tributes to Chuck Berry, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, ACDC, and more. Think: Rock Around the Clock, Sweet Caroline, Footloose, Still Standing, and the ultimate anthem, Don’t Stop Believin’.
A Stellar Cast You Know and Love
Directed for the first time by local theatre legend Annaline Stiglingh, with Jody Koesnel returning as Vocal Director, Blast from the Past brings together returning stars and fresh faces. Jody Butler, the unforgettable 2013 Pirate King, returns to the Savoy stage alongside Hairspray 2023 favourites Hannah Stiglingh and Mark Phelps. Vocal standouts Oceana Petrus, Monique Tobias, Chris Cressey, and Sharné Osborne are back to wow, joined by rising stars from NMU — Sisipho Mangqishi, Liyabukwa France, and Licebo Mose.
