ARTS & CULTURE | The Bay shows up for creative expression as ECLIPSE 2026 takes shape

From local businesses and fashion designers to photographers, beauty professionals and content creators, Nelson Mandela Bay is coming together to celebrate creative expression at ECLIPSE 2026. With Vinimark bringing Spier Wine Farm on board and Haylon Pharaoh joining as DJ and MC, here’s who’s getting involved.

When we first introduced our readers to Braemore Lundall Sauls and his vision for ECLIPSE, we knew there was a story worth telling. Now, with the event just around the corner, we’re getting a better look at just how many people are helping bring that vision to life.

And, naturally, we’re here to give you the details.

Set to take place at the Boardwalk ICC on Saturday, 10 October, ECLIPSE 2026 is bringing fashion, beauty, photography, entertainment and local businesses together for a celebration of creative expression.

The Bay’s businesses are showing up

If you’ve been keeping an eye on the ECLIPSE announcements, you might have spotted a few familiar names.

Woolworths, Kelston Motor Group, Boardwalk ICC, KellyGirl Skills Academy and FatFrank are among the event’s major sponsors. Bay FM 107.9 is also on board as a major sponsor and media partner.

Vinimark is bringing Spier Wine Farm to the event, adding another established South African brand to the growing list of collaborators.

Pick n Pay Walker Drive, Camelot Spa at The Boardwalk, House of Textiles, Actvon6 Gym and Wise Hire Event Décor are among the supporting sponsors.

The list also includes Wima Langson & Associates, Abacus Accounting & Tax Professionals and several other businesses.

It’s an interesting mix of industries, from retail and hospitality to professional services, all coming together to support a creative event right here in Nelson Mandela Bay.

Behind every runway is a creative team

While the fashion will undoubtedly be getting plenty of attention on the night, there’s a whole lot happening behind the scenes.

ECLIPSE has brought together several photography teams, including Ridwaan Photography, Africuz Photography, Captured Light Photography, Blacked Out Photography and Prodesign Photography.

The beauty department is also well represented, with Serenity Hair PE, Hair & Skin Care, Lavish Hair Studio, Vinny Langford and several independent hairstylists and makeup artists involved in the production.

Fashion designer Jan-Hendrik van Zyl of JASI Studio is also listed as a collaborator.

And with modelling agencies including Premier Models, Sophisticate Models and Ace Models Kouga on board, there’s plenty of talent contributing to the runway experience.

For anyone working in the creative industry, events like these are also an opportunity to collaborate, build connections and showcase their work to new audiences.

Bringing the entertainment

Of course, a celebration of creative expression needs the right soundtrack.

Haylon Pharaoh will be taking on the roles of DJ and MC, bringing music and entertainment to the evening while keeping the programme moving.

With fashion, beauty and entertainment coming together, ECLIPSE is shaping up to offer audiences more than your traditional runway experience.

Local voices helping spread the word

Of course, we’re particularly interested in the people helping tell the story.

Alongside 041Online, fellow publication Jumiro Magazine and content creators Alicia Demont of The Wondering Manager, Candice Lee Nel, Gaby Baatjies, and Kelly and Hughan Millborrow are also on board to help spread the word and shine a spotlight on the creative talent involved in ECLIPSE 2026.

Having local publications and content creators involved means the event has an opportunity to reach audiences beyond those attending on the night.

And yes, we’ll be there too, bringing you a closer look at the people, fashion and moments that make the event happen.

More than a night of fashion

One of the things we love about covering Nelson Mandela Bay is seeing just how much creative talent exists right on our doorstep.

From designers and photographers to makeup artists, models and the businesses supporting them, ECLIPSE is bringing several parts of the local creative industry together under one roof.

It’s also an opportunity for people who might not ordinarily work together to connect, collaborate and potentially create something beyond the event itself.

With the countdown officially on, we’ll be keeping an eye on the preparations and bringing you more of the people involved.

Because while the runway might be the main attraction, we’re just as interested in the people making it happen.
