Algoa FM has been announced as the official media partner of NAMPO Cape, strengthening the connection between one of South Africa’s leading regional radio stations and the Cape’s largest agricultural, trade and lifestyle exhibition.
The partnership comes after a record-breaking 2025 event, which welcomed 49,326 visitors over four days. This year’s exhibition will take place from 9 to 12 September 2026 under the theme “Together We Grow.”
A partnership built on agriculture
Algoa FM Managing Director Alfie Jay said the partnership is a natural fit, with the station expanding its agricultural coverage through its dedicated Agri Focus platform, weekly on-air agricultural features, specialised farming weather forecasts and increased agriculture-related news coverage.
“As the leading commercial lifestyle radio station in our broadcast footprint, Algoa FM is a natural partner for the Cape’s premier agricultural, trade and lifestyle event,” said Jay.
He added that the station’s audience closely aligns with the profile of visitors attending NAMPO Cape, making the collaboration beneficial for both organisations.
Supporting the agricultural sector
NAMPO Managing Director Dr Dirk Strydom said this year’s theme highlights the importance of collaboration across the agricultural industry.
“Our theme for 2026 reflects a simple but important reality: agriculture cannot thrive in isolation,” he said.
Strydom said building a resilient and sustainable agricultural sector depends on cooperation between producers, agribusinesses, researchers, innovators, service providers, financiers, government and the communities that support farming.
He believes the partnership with Algoa FM will provide greater visibility for exhibitors while helping agricultural communities across the Eastern Cape and Garden Route access valuable information.
Live broadcasts from the event
Algoa FM will broadcast live throughout NAMPO Cape from its own dedicated stand on the exhibition grounds.
Jay said the station hopes the partnership will continue well beyond this year’s event, helping strengthen ties between the agricultural sectors of the Eastern and Western Cape while celebrating the region’s shared rural lifestyle.
