South African music, dance and nostalgia are set to take centre stage once again as AFRO FIESTA VOL. 2 returns to Gqeberha following the overwhelming success of its Freedom Day preview performance earlier this year.
Presented by Dynamic Productions in association with PEMADS, the expanded production will run at the Isithatha Theatre in Walmer from 13 to 16 May 2026, promising audiences an even bigger theatrical experience packed with music, culture and celebration.
The original AFRO FIESTA showcase, staged at Elements over Freedom Day weekend, earned praise for its high-energy performances and emotional tribute to South African music legends. Audiences were treated to a vibrant mix of nostalgia and contemporary flair, celebrating artists and groups including Mango Groove, Brenda Fassie, Vicky Sampson, Joy, Malaika, Freshlyground, Lira, Mi Casa and Tyla.
A Celebration Of South African Music
AFRO FIESTA VOL. 2 builds on that momentum with a refreshed two-act production designed to keep theatre-goers singing and dancing throughout the show.
Audiences can expect classic sing-alongs, Afro-pop favourites, powerhouse ballads and dancefloor anthems performed in a fast-paced theatrical experience celebrating the diversity and energy of South African music culture.
The production aims to create a shared celebration of local artistry while showcasing the music that has shaped generations of South Africans.
