We’ve all seen the cash stuffing videos and post on social media. You know the ones ,where people write numbers or values on envelopes and put that amount of cash in them every week or month end. Sounds like a great plan right! However that would not work for me. However i do have a “money box” on my dressing table, collecting any change and cash i may find around the house (my husbands pants pockets when i do the washing**)Personally If I know I have cash in my house I would end up using it and convince myself that I will replace it again. You know for those “emergency” (fast food Friday’s)
So this year I’m looking into using gift cards and vouchers as a form of saving up for the festive season.
First I made a list of of stores that I know ,I will be doing most of my shopping from. This list includes clothing store as well as Family restaurants chains to. Yes restaurants as well! Another great 1 is getting a mall gift card, this can be used at any store inside the specific mall.
The electronic vouchers ,I save in a folder on my phone. And the gift cards I keep in a little box with the receipt to keep track of the amounts.
Here is a list of a few stores I looked into.
