It had been a minute since my last event, but The Good Life Show at the CTICC in Cape Town was the perfect reason to step back in. Held from 30 May to 1 June 2025, this feel-good showcase of conscious living brought together food, wellness, sustainability, and innovation—all under one very lively roof.

From cookalongs with culinary greats to fitness sessions that had everyone moving, it was a weekend dedicated to mindful choices and inspiring ideas. Here’s what stood out for me:

Immersive Experiences
One of the highlights for me was being invited to do a Cookalong with Siphiwe Sithole, hosted by Jenny Morris, as we cooked a millet salad. I loved the idea of using more indigenous produce such as millet and African horned cucumber. The recipe was easy to follow and we were able to take home our little meals to enjoy. The ingredients were simple but the taste was explosively good!

Another interactive station was the Woolworths Good Life Kitchen with PlantLove, where renowned chefs showcased innovative plant-based dishes.

Wellness and Fitness
The Made to Move Fitness Area was another standout feature. Curated by Ceri and Lydia Hannan of Rockstar Fitness, this area offered a variety of strength, balance, and mindfulness activities. It was refreshing to participate in sessions that promoted physical well-being and mental clarity, all within a supportive community atmosphere.

Sustainable Living and Innovation
The event also showcased a diverse range of exhibitors focused on sustainable living. From eco-friendly products to innovative wellness solutions, there was something for everyone interested in making conscious choices for a better future. The presence of SMEs in the SimplyBiz Pavilion, powered by Nedbank, highlighted the importance of supporting local businesses committed to sustainability. What I really loved was how everyone was curious to make more informed choices about sustainable living and really wanted to learn more.

Culinary Delights and Networking
Sampling a variety of plant-based foods and beverages was a treat for the senses. The opportunity to taste new products and engage with their creators added a personal touch to the experience. I was super shy and just eyed everything but they looked so tasty!

Attending The Good Life Show was more than just an event—it was an opportunity to learn more. Plus, having a goody bag chock full of amazing products made the experience even sweeter!
