Two members of the 041Online team recently attended The Pink Lounge in Gqeberha and left inspired, empowered and reminded of the importance of creating spaces where women can connect authentically.
The event, designed to encourage creativity, self-discovery and meaningful conversation, brought together women from different walks of life for an evening of reflection, vulnerability and personal growth. Through thought-provoking discussions and guided exercises, attendees were encouraged to explore their stories, challenge limiting beliefs and embrace the next chapter of their journeys.
For 041Online writer Veronica Charles , the evening felt nothing short of magical.
“Some experiences feel like fate, like finding a four-leaf clover when you least expect it. Every moment unfolding exactly as your soul needed,” she said.
“Being surrounded by women who are real, who aren’t afraid to be seen, who openly share their stories, their journeys, their fears, their victories, and often their raw vulnerabilities in a safe and sacred space… this is what becoming looks like.”
Charles said the event arrived at exactly the right time as she prepares for a season of growth and change.
“The conversations, the creativity, the honesty, the magic… it was exactly what I needed. Magical, I tell you. Absolutely magical.”
Fellow 041Online writer Lelethu Zondani described the evening as deeply healing and reaffirming.
“I really loved it. It was such a healing event and I’m so glad I attended,” she said.
“The things I was struggling with in my life were validated by women who have been through the same. Especially entering a new decade in my life where I have doubt about a lot of things, I was reassured by women who’ve been where I am.”
One of the standout moments for Zondani was a guided exercise focused on identifying and challenging limiting beliefs.
“We had to look deep into how those seeds were planted. I’m learning more about myself as a woman and why I am the way I am, but that was an exercise I really needed because I saw where my insecurities stem from and how to rewire my thoughts and those beliefs into something positive.”
She added that the evening fostered a rare sense of belonging and understanding.
“I met women from different backgrounds and it was so reaffirming hearing about their struggles. We laughed and sympathised together. It was a judgement-free zone and I’ve never felt so safe and seen by strangers.”
As more women seek spaces that prioritise authenticity, growth and connection, The Pink Lounge continues to offer an environment where meaningful conversations can flourish and where attendees are encouraged to embrace who they are becoming.
For both 041Online writers, the evening served as a powerful reminder that healing often begins when women gather, share their stories and realise they are not alone.
