STARTING Monday it will be ten weeks till Christmas, and it is all systems go at Locally Yours with 041online going along for the ride.
Since it started five years ago Locally Yours, has always had a big festive focus. This year the only difference is that the focus is bigger, they have a stand-alone shop and the Grinch has started counting down in their store window.
Due to 041online’s dedication to promoting local, we will be sharing their weekly stories and posts on our social media and even have some Locally Yours prizes up for grabs.
In the past, Locally Yours would host a big Christmas market which would have the city a buzz, and although that is certainly still happening – in fact, there will be two – now you don’t have to focus your festive budget on just one day.
The 9th Avenue Walmer store has been turned into a Locally inspired Santa’s Shop while the Grinch counts down in their storefront.
With a tinsel-free focus proudly South African decor comes from various local businesses. While the elf on the shelf learns to surf and springboks try playing reindeer, the gifts have a strictly South African flavour.
“New items will be added weekly and we are encouraging shoppers to come in and scoop up these beautiful small batches of handmade decor and gifts,” said Locally Your Market Director, Annelize Botha.
Because Locally Yours prides itself on showcasing the best handmade, grown, crafted, cooked, baked, and designed goods by local entrepreneurs, shoppers can be assured that their gifts are doing double duty, making their loved ones happy as well as supporting local artisans.
“Behind the scenes we’ve been working on this year’s Christmas collection since March, being an entrepreneur means working ahead to ensure that we have fab items to surprise and delight our shoppers,” says Botha adding, “’Tis the Season to shop local”.
