South Africa’s entertainment industry has welcomed a new player with a mission that goes beyond selling tickets.
Lekker Lekker Media has officially launched as an entertainment marketing, PR and artist management company, combining comedy, music and community upliftment through its first national production, Thanks For Sharing.
Founded by Brendon Roux, Vincenzo Mazzola and Tamlyn Thomas, with veteran broadcaster, actor and comedian Roland Gaspar joining as director, the company says its vision is to help artists grow by sharing resources, opportunities and exposure rather than competing against one another.
Their debut tour will visit Wilderness, Plettenberg Bay and Gqeberha, with 10% of every ticket sold being donated to a charity in the town hosting the performance.
Entertainment with a purpose
According to co-founder Brendon Roux, the idea behind the company is simple.
“If a community is buying tickets to come laugh and dance with us, the least we can do is make sure some of that money stays right there and does something good.”
The company offers artists marketing, branding and PR support without upfront costs, while connecting them to an established nationwide tourism and lifestyle media network.
The philosophy behind the brand is summed up in one belief: when one person succeeds, everyone benefits.
What audiences can expect
Hosted by Roland Gaspar, Thanks For Sharing promises an evening of comedy, storytelling and live music.
The comedy line-up features Brendon Roux alongside Sabrina Titus, whose relatable humour and personal stories have become a crowd favourite.
Closing the evening is Port Elizabeth-based singer-songwriter Liam Tuffy, whose performances blend pop, indie, folk and rock, with audiences also getting the opportunity to meet him after the show.
Organisers describe the production as an evening of laughter, music and genuine connection.
Gqeberha show supports Zanethemba
The Port Elizabeth performance takes place on 20 August at Music Kitchen.
Ten percent of ticket sales from the Gqeberha show will be donated to Zanethemba, a local baby haven that provides temporary care, therapeutic support and education for abused, abandoned and neglected children from birth to six years old.
Tour dates
- 14 August – Wilderness Beach House Backpackers, Wilderness
- 19 August – Asado Grill, Keurbooms, Plettenberg Bay
- 20 August – Music Kitchen, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)
Tickets are R150 for all performances.
Why this matters for Nelson Mandela Bay
The Gqeberha stop gives local audiences the opportunity to enjoy an evening of comedy and live music while also supporting a local children’s organisation. It is another example of how entertainment events in Nelson Mandela Bay are increasingly pairing live experiences with meaningful community impact.
