If you’re a local vendor, small business owner, or food entrepreneur looking for a summer spotlight, the Baruch Entertainers have an exciting opportunity for you. The respected Cape Town Minstrel troupe is inviting vendors to be part of the Baruch Community Carnival, running from 4 to 6 December 2025 at the Elsies River Rugby Club Grounds.
Known for preserving and evolving Cape Town’s vibrant Minstrel traditions, Baruch Entertainers, led by chairman Claude Jonas, are celebrated for blending traditional minstrel music with modern creativity. Their performances have earned them a reputation as innovators in the city’s carnival scene, and now they’re extending that energy to the wider community.
The three-day festival is designed to bring people together, uplift local entrepreneurs, and celebrate the culture and resilience of Elsies River and surrounding areas. There’s something for everyone, from live performances by local artists like Waseef Piekaan, Allan The Car Guard, and The OGs dance group, to family fun activities like inflatables, a Saturday Car Show, food stalls, craft vendors, and community exhibitors. Safe, paid parking is available on site.

Vendor Opportunities
Vendors are encouraged to showcase their products and services at one of Cape Town’s most anticipated community events. There are over 100 stalls available, including:
- General Stalls: R3,500 for the full weekend
- Food Trucks: R4,500 for the full weekend

Giving Back with Purpose
Proceeds from the carnival will support children in need, providing school uniforms and essentials for families who cannot afford them.
“This Carnival is about community, it’s about creating opportunities for small businesses while celebrating our culture and giving back,” says Wendy Rhode, Executive Director for the Baruch Community Carnival. “We want vendors from all over Cape Town to come showcase their talent and be part of something meaningful.”
